Our Purpose

The purpose of the Lumber River Football Club (LRFC), is to provide an educational environment for all players ages 4-18 to learn the game of soccer. Our primary focus is on providing a fun, positive experience for all players, boys and girls, to be able to play the game of soccer in an organized, competitive, league.

LRFC, distributes our funds or proceeds in an organized fashion within the laws of a non-profit organization. A majority of the proceeds and revenue generated through registration fees (our primary source of revenue) are used to support each individual team. There are many inherent costs involved in running a team within a competitive league. Those fees include but are not limited to: NC Youth Soccer and US Youth Soccer player registrations or affiliation fees, coaching salary, referee fees, jersey/kit costs, player insurance fees, and field maintenance fees.

Other administrative fees (or portions of fees per player) are used to purchase soccer balls, training equipment, cones, scrimmage vests, paint for striping fields, goals, and much more. However, the later of the fees (the administrative fees) are minimal.

We are truly a non profit organization who is dedicated to helping enrich the youth in our community by offering an affordable, quality, opportunity for boys and girls to develop their skills by offering quality facilities, and training.

Through our cooperation with the youth, parents, and alumni in our community we hope to be able to grow the game to a competitive level within our county and within our state.
